BJP widens Namo app drive for sharing ideas with PM

NEW DELHI: The Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified a campaign to pitchfork the reach of Namo app -- built to interact with the office of Prime Minister directly -- in the national capital to help members of party and civil society share their grievances and better understand the welfare schemes of the government.BJP Delhi unit led by party's state incharge Baijayant Panda, Delhi president Adesh Gupta and other leaders have paired the Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot campaign, that was launched to empower booth workers of the party, to download the four-year old app for its interactive communication with members.BJP Delhi general secretary Kuljeet Chahal said that drive that was launched on July 11 will continue till 30 with a target to see at least 10 lakh downloads."The effort my Delhi BJP unit under my senior leaders including Panda ji and Adesh ji is to see the reach of this smooth and easy app that helps people know about key works and welfare policies of government ranging from ease in income tax filing to free PDS ration delivery to free vaccination to start up India initiatives. Our teams are visiting various parts of Delhi to help people know how they can share grievances and extract benefits out of intiaitives of government," said Chahal.
The app gives an opportunity for workers or people to directly meet PM and augment public initatives and help share ideas and suggestions that often become part of PM's Mann Ki Baat.The app encourages people to share ideas, raise concerns and contribute to BJP with micro-donations.
